I was talking about the adoption rate of fully-electric vehicles.

Hybrids are different, a mature and successful technology. Years ago, I drove my Prius from Alaska to S. Carolina. Just like any car, except I stop for gas half as often. Hybrids do not cause “range anxiety”, do not need charging, and still have a small ICE engine along with the big battery.

The oil sector is paying nice dividends (XLE 4%), which I believe is durable. Investors are treating them like tobacco companies. I will not claim Exxon is run by saints and humanitarians, but they are good LT dividend payers.
