For most companies, their raw materials are only a small fraction of expenses. Health care for employees is usually more than the commodities they buy. Wages dominate costs. The things I listed, along with wages, are the determinants of inflation. Not copper or oil. Oil went to $100 in 2011 and there was no inflation.
