Thanks for the suggestion. You are right in that a new thread ought to be started to discuss and review war history and related matters and for venting personal prejudices, anger and hurling invectives/execrations etc. But as I will be so preoccupied with personal matters in the days ahead (with little or no opportunity to post), I think the honour of starting up such a thread should go to someone else --- perhaps to yourself. Frankly, I had not anticipated the amount of response to my post. But rrman did. He said he didn't bother to write about Pearl Harbor as he realized he didn't have a "flame-retardant suit."
