Sorry all. Not my norm. From the Big Lebowski: "Donnie, you are out of your element".

I currently have 2160 ENPH shares with a cost basis of $112.93. Current gain on these shares is $107,500.
When I sell LIFO, down to the original 700 shares I planned to just hold, before the big dip, the cost basis will be under $7.

From my selling cost basis per Ameritrade 2018/19/20/ and 2021 so far. I've posted all here every month.

Curious where I can make this in a copper stock.

"Prediction: Copper miners will be better than Enphase as a solar play."

If it wasn't for high expediting costs, and low battery shipments, because of logistics problems hurting
many companies, imho, this quarter would have been even better for ENPH.

Day of this post, SCCO closed at $61.66. With the .90 dividend in August, it is right about even.
Day of this post, ENPH closed at $163.08. Currently $228. Up 40%.

New inverters? Generac just came out with one. It is a string inverter. Inferior to inverter per panel.

Meanwhile ENPH comes out with their IQ8, far ahead of everyone else, and are sitting on 1.4 billion in cash.

"Since the company's inception, we have invested in custom application specific integrated chips for our microinverters. And today, we see a big payoff with a software-defined microinverters, smart enough to form a microgrid. Many homeowners often assume that their solar systems will function if the sun is shining even during a power outage. This is unfortunately not been true until today. Now with IQ8, homeowners can realize the true promise of solar to make and use their own power. IQ8 solar microinverters can provide sunlight backup during an outage even without a battery.

The Enphase Energy System with IQ8 comes in 4 different configurations. The first is solar only, which is a standard grid-tied system that everybody is used to today. The second is sunlight backup, which I just talked about, without a battery. The third is very interesting, it's home essentials backup with a small battery for cloud cover and nighttime backup. The fourth is full energy independent, a solar system with IQ8 and a large battery. So while the first configuration, as I mentioned, is a standard grid-tied system. The remaining 3 configurations are grid-agnostic system, which need an Enphase System controller or a smart switch to which islands the home during an outage. For homeowners who want a battery, there are no sizing restrictions on pairing an Enphase battery with an IQ8 solar system. All the configurations can be customized for homeowners with the help of our valued Enphase installer partners."

I think their CEO hit it on the head: "When you have a grid type product and when you have a grid agnostic product side by side, you have to question who is going to buy a grid product."
