I'd like to see a fact-check performed on that statement.

According to info I found on Google, solar panels typically have a lifespan of 25-30 years. Even after that, most solar panels can still generate 75% of the electricity that they used to generate back when they were new.

Also, solar panels are supposedly low maintenance, though for large solar farms that span dozens of acres, even low maintenance requirements per panel can multiply into a significant cost.
