The Motley Fool - February 11, 1998 12:13

MOT V%MFOOL P%TMF

February 11, 1998/FOOLWIRE/ -- Influential Merrill Lynch
semiconductor industry analyst Tom Kurlak helped bring down a number of
chip-related companies this morning, including Motorola (NYSE: MOT),
which was cut $3 9/16 to $61 3/8. Kurlak warned that a earnings recovery
in the segment is not going to materialize and that overcapacity will
continue to weigh down top-line results in 1998.
