Yes, they work. Get a multiport one with a remote control for changing the HDMI inputs, that way you can switch them from your couch.

I'd check with Best Buy for their recommendation on a good one, just be sure to price compare at Amazon so you don't get ripped off.

Best Buy is notorious for overcharging on some AV components, like HDMI cables. They'll charge $50 for the same cable you can buy at Amazon for $10.
