Nicholas Wade's excellent piece on the origin of the virus no longer available at Medium. However, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists carries it. See below:

I am agnostic, but am suspicious, as you should be and are as well

it can well be that the earliest cases of CoVid were in USA and Italy, just undetected at the time, due to sloppy work, and Wuhan, being unsloppy, gave the alarm and locked down, knowing full well the city had been attacked

I am sure any thorough investigation shall strengthen out the time line, for something this pervasive is difficult to wash away

the same suspect bicycle athlete and the USA army had certainly visited Italy

So, yes, I remain agnostic as far as the MSM script goes, because the scrip sounds like a script, and also why I am enthusiastic for an an all-encompassing investigation by as many domains as possible, but minus the political angles.

However, at the moment, the issue is very politicised and geo-politised by Team USA that any USA centre-ed investigation without covering what Columbo / Perry Mason would cover would of course be suspect. I am nevertheless fascinated to see what Team Biden can conclude and try to make stick, be it with the domestic and / or international audience.

Seems to me there are no trouble-free conclusions possible given the boxes folks find themselves.
a group of researchers analyzed blood samples from people in Italy who were enrolled in a prospective lung cancer screening trial between September 2019 and March 2020. They looked for antibodies specific to the receptor binding domain (RBD) — the dock on the coronavirus' spike protein that it uses to latch onto and invade human cells.
They found that 111 of these 959 people, all asymptomatic at the time their blood was drawn, had SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in their blood at the time it was taken, meaning that about 11.6% of the entire group had been infected with the virus before March. Specifically, the researchers found coronavirus antibodies in 23 patients who gave samples in September and in 27 who gave samples in October. They also found that 53.2% of these cases were participants from Lombardy.

A new study suggests as early as September of last year, but some experts are skeptical.
