a company like csco, head above the pack (not head and shoulders yet), does not need to be releasing cutting edge technology as the rest of the companies trying to compete. csco has the resources (money and people and branding) to catch up once they decide the market segment they want to dominate. i worry about csco when they set targets on asnd markets. if csco drops the price to that of a competitor's product, most people would purchase csco products, even when they may not have as many bells and whistles.
