Donald Trump is in even worse shape than we thought
Bill Palmer | 2:00 pm EDT June 28, 2021

Now that the initial Trump Organization indictments are coming down, it’s more clear than ever that Donald Trump is on a path to prison. Of course, given his visibly poor and worsening physical and cognitive health, it raises the question of whether he’ll even last long enough to make it to prison. Now there’s new information about his health and it’s… not good for him.

It turns out Donald Trump was far sicker with COVID than anyone on the outside knew at the time. The Washington Post is revealing that his blood oxygen level was a disaster, and his doctors feared they’d have to put him on a ventilator. This adds new context to Trump’s decision, after being pumped full of the powerful steroid dexamethasone, to abruptly leave the hospital and limp back out onto the campaign trail.

Given how bad of condition Trump was in when he insisted on bailing out of the hospital, and how clear it’s becoming that he was relying on steroids to keep himself upright, it’s nearly a given that he did permanent damage to his health.

It would explain why Trump never again seemed quite the same after his bout with COVID. Since emerging from the hospital, he’s looked worn and ghastly in his public appearances, and he’s frequently been photographed with one or more bandages on his hands and arms. What’s more, his condition appears to be continuing to worsen – though it can be tough to gauge as his handlers seem to be doing everything they can to keep him from appearing in public these days more than occasionally.
