I've been using the dark backgrounds for long time. Initially because they fit my eye and do very well late at night under low light.

As a rule, color schemes don't mean much and, not having thought much about it, I guess I'm simply locked into what I've been doing out of habit.

I use white and light grey. Nothing else.
