My position still is small but I continue to be bullish when I heard some test wells/rigs that were converting these oil sands directly to Hydrogen (at the well site). If that demonstration/research project can scale, Suncor Energy will have a 'golden' egg asset. It may be 5 years for them to determine if the hydrogen is economically feasible. The big problem is how you transport the gas. Do you convert it into Ammonia and then liquify? Can that be transported in the current pipes or do you use trains/trucks.
