From what I understand, even if the level is too high, it won't hurt your engine. It may blow a gasket at the worst.

It would affect your fuel economy (make it worse). I don't know if it would clog up your PCV valve or mess with the cat converter.

The Daimler / Chrysler years were not the best time to get a Benz...or a Chrysler product from what I've read. They tried to realize efficiencies by swapping / sharing platforms, and it didn't work out like they thought it would.

No dipstick is kind of messed up. That's the deal with all the transmissions these days, unfortunately.
