eventually the accumulated issues, and issues of issues might choke any society no matter how productive, I imagine.

That certainly seems to be the plan being implemented by the (D) hard left... hoping to kill the other half.

My experience of it suggests... liberal urban cities are at most risk of succeeding in committing social suicide... and a real risk there that they may succeed... maybe rather like Detroit did in the 1970's.

People are leaving the crazier cities and states in droves... Florida, Texas and Idaho are booming... California and New York emptying out... but, Seattle and Portland certainly also are forcing people to choose to leave... as basic safety continues to become more of an issue over time.

And, beyond that, it seems the lunacy being pushed impacts pretty much no one else... other than those pushing it. People have had about enough of it, though. Push back is growing... where the lunacy tries to escape the cities... people are losing patience and saying no.

California maybe the worst... California is going to die... the businesses are moving away... but, the ports probably won't stop working...

The problem with projection... is that as it becomes self fulfilling prophecy... chickens roost.
