I'm sorry for being ignorant on this point, but don't short sales eventually get called back?
I mean theoretically, unlike long purchases, you can lose an infinite amount of money on a short. Unless one is Bill Gates, the brokerage won't let you sit on a rising short forever. Sooner or later the stock has to be bought back at a certain price due to margin call. Isn't this what happens?
I'm not inferring that would be the case here--just a general question. Guess I should look in the Selling Short thread.
