as long as you do not open unknown attachments, nothing can happen
If you open word/excel attachments etc. disable macros

pete this stuff is bogus. opening any email will not cause any damage or viruses. only by running a program can a virus/malicious program be unleashed. the virus/program would have to be an attachment, that is why you should always save attachments to your hard disk, scan for a virus, prior to opening. if it is a program that you have no idea about, do not run it.

be careful of the email i just sent you. this is not a drill.
