TJ your example is completely wrong! There are historical examples of last century where massive compensations where paid to the country affected. Example the Romanian Iron Guard at the time allied itself to Germany during WWII and arrived to the Don region, inflicting great harm to the Red Army which was no match to the Romanians. As punishments' the WWII allies under pressure from Stalin an little sympathy from Russia allays to Romania let Stalin deport a majority of Romanians from Bucovina and Bessarabia of Romania to Siberia, established what we know now as Moldova and moved ethnic Russian including farmers into the stolen land, very high number of Romanians where killed or perished in the process. To this day Bucovina is cut in half with Chernovtsy, a university city belonging to Ukraine and not returned to Romania and same with Bessarabia. Who survived the ordeal returned home if he could, Russia continued to demand more payments in form of grains and natural resources like gold and refined crude oil products way into the 1960. From an cousin of my mother I know tat many Romanian Jews "liberated" by the Russians where treated worse by the Red Army because they where designated as Romanian from Bucovina than the NAZI's and where released from forced labor camps several months after the end of WWII due to UK/US intervention. After all this rant which 100% true I find full justification for extreme punishment of China as the did not learn from the atrocities inflicted by Japan on regular Chinese population and the sad events of WWII. KMT made huge strategic mistakes by allying itself with Russia instead to invest more in diplomacy toward the Western powers, accepted Mao Tzekung within the KMT who later destroyed the KMT and rose to absolute power. Today the world is are faced with the continuation of his movement the CCP and their various institutions (like that practice of slavery off other ethnic groups or Chinese not in agreement with the CCP, and organ extraction to be sold to the highest bidder), therefore the CCP and their minnows should be removed from power and if needed to pursue outright acts of modern full destruction war if the Chinese population will not garner their own courage and willingness for sacrifice to bring back a regime as the envisioned democratic KMT by the "modern China" founder.
