I do read and parse what I need to, but it is far more efficient to consider the source sometimes.

If one parses NEA/AFT statements, the misrepresentations leap out, given one is adequately skeptical and understand the raison d'être for the unions' involvement in this subject (where they really have no rightful place).

Yesterday NEA made it clear they will defend teachers with a large legal fund for teaching "accurate history"; of course, NEA's version of "accurate history" isn't the same as mine. I just don't know how you continue to believe there isn't a well-defined plan to to do just that, with the messaging being toned down to get through this period of parent reaction.

I can copy/paste a definition if you like. The definition is as close to a made-up genre as one can imagine.

But if you don't mind, can we make a relevant digression for a moment?

What/where is this "systemic racism" we that is allegedly the reason this is even important for k-12 students to know about? I raise this because I believe it is the backbone that must be addressed if one is to have a cogent discussion of whether CRT is even a "thing".

What I see, when the reference is made to systemic racism, is hooey.

So, are higher infant mortality rates systemic racism?
Shorter life expectancy?
Lower income?
Why don't we talk about the alleged systemic racism and whether there is truth to it? Because AFAIK, it is alleged, and not supported by evidence of truth. I see a lot of pretty successful black people walking around, and no one is complaining about it.

It isn't a question of defining the topic. It is a question of defining the truth.
