What is success? To gain the world? Maybe you are not looking at the big picture.

Clearly, you reject transcendental or metaphysical experiences. I have no problem with that if you want to limit yourself. There are experiences on planet earth and experiences of the beyond. And there is the beyond, the Greeks called it the cosmos, the order of all that is, ruled by the divine.

I also understand why you can call G-d evil. A lot of Jews no longer believe because they hold G-d responsible for letting the Holacoust happen. But you really do believe in G-d, for otherwise you wouldn't call him evil. Maybe you should initiate private dialogue with G-d and let him know you feel. Get it off your chest. I've done it many times. Not that it got me anywhere. But I worked through it. Took a very long time.

Judaism and Christianity are great metaphysical visions of the Universe. We all encounter limits to our knowledge. Reason is often useless, but there is something beyond reason. Many atheists think reason is useless and there is nothing beyond reason.

To get from G-d, you have to give of yourself and confide in him. Talk to him, pour your heart out. Home is where the heart is. Sounds like a cliche, but a relationship with G-d is similar in this one respect: if you don't put time into it and nourish it, you get nothing out of it. The punishment for not believing in G-d often takes the form of leading a miserable, unhappy life. I don't have all the answers, but I do know it is better to have faith in G-d than not to.

<<G-d is the collective of all of us<<

I have no idea what you mean unless you are speaking of Humanity as G-d, which is what Feuerbach espoused, a Left Wing Hegelian.

Truth is unconcealment. I don't think you have the slightest idea of what truth is.

You claim to be prolife. Yet you conceal your views on Sioux Pal's thread because you know you would be banned if you expressed your views. And you call that Truth? I call that running away from the Truth.

Oh yes, you compromise your view of the Truth because you enjoy talking about other things. I think you are a hypocrite. Truth has utilitarian value for you, whereas for me it has absolute value.

Bob Casey is a liberal Dem Senator from PA who is opposed to abortion and he has the courage to stand up to what he believes.
