AW shucks. There isn't a legal consequence for being a racist- you won't be sent to a FEMA trailer and made to sing Kumbaya with your black brothers and sisters. You can keep your white sheet in the closet. You just can't benefit from a system that is rigged against black people and not have anyone mention it or work to dismantle it- in the WORKPLACE and in GOVERNMENT. We actually already have laws against that. You know that right? You can still privately be as racist as you want, but don't go out trying to support large structural systems in business and government aimed at keeping out or keeping down POC. Easy to understand, right? It's like you don't even want people mentioning racism- that, my little fucker, is very racist indeed.
