what i outlined on the 2nd day after cpq announced the dec deal is coming out now.....
DEC will yeild a goldmine in cash, service and support division ,
engineering resource, cheap intel and 64 bit cheaps(dirt cheap)and they do need some extra plants of decs

but, like I said look for a $500 million one time charge, and some plant closures and maybe 20,000 people gone after it's over...
people part is done over 13 months...
they want the company to know that after a 13 month point in time it's all over..no more layoffs.

read 'em and weep guy/and girls.

Hey MB, Happy New Year! Long time no post to. I was wondering what your thoughts are on CPQ and their proposed acquisition of DEC. I think CPQ could be a good play for those willing & able to hold for at least a year. Any comments?
