You are so clueless. Prayer is not a substitute for action but a stimulus for action in the world we live in. It is the basis or foundation of everything.

If you can make a statement like that, you don't know the first thing about prayer. Prayer gives one the strength to act, to fight till the very end for one's life and principles. Giving up is never an option.

A 10% chance of beating cancer is good. Why give up if there is love in your life? A 10% chance of beating cancer is an opportunity to live.

My parents called me stupid for not realizing the severity of my condition. But I knew. What my parents didn't understand was how I didn't worry and talk about it. I was engaged in living. I entered graduate school, fell in love, got married and had a son. There wasn't time to worry. But I prayed hard every day.

Dusty was a Buddhist. He submitted to his condition.
