I keep Now brand Elderberry Zinc lozenges in stock... They include a couple other things that help... like slippery elm... Many other "herbal" things out there that help... that work by enhancing lung clearance... either through modifications of the mucus... or enhancing ciliary beat rates... which, even the morning cup of joe does that... or, the cup of tea... But, the zinc lozenges taste OK... and are easy... Easy to pop one on the way out the door when you're going out... another coming back in. If I know I'm being exposed to "many" people at an event... I'll front load the C, D and zinc the day before... and carry a higher load through the day after... But, I've been doing that with C, D and the Elderberry / Zinc for a long time... as they provide similar resistance to the routine in colds and flu bugs as they do the Covid... ? And, in spite of not being vaccinated for the flu bugs ever since they ramped up the sales pitch on that... I've not had a serious cold or flu bug in a long time... If you do feel the onset of symptoms... and pop the lozenges, C, D, etc., after the fact... that still helps... might even let you fend it off without more than feeling the onset... but, even if not, still helps by reducing the magnitude of symptoms and the duration in persistence of a bug you do catch... All very well documented... and validated well enough in my personal experience... Elderberry... in the form of wine... what pioneers used to use for colds and flu... now is the basis for the drug Tamiflu...
