Compaq's acquisition of Digital was in the last few weeks, yet the HUMCF's stock has been languishing for months. The rational my sponsor has used to decide to move to NT for non-server boxes is an expectation of much lower training costs: their data analysts come and go, and if they arrive with a great degree of comfort with NT simply because they've used the exact same GUI on Win95/98 (at home and at school), then they become productive much more quickly and lessen the drag on the system administrators. At least, that's the belief... How it plays out in the real world remains to be seen.
