There is always the beach, and if your interested in private property, cut a deal with the owner and your ready to go. The are clubs and associations you can get in touch with to find out the best practises.

I might do a little myself. as said, it's hard not to trip over the history around here.

You can uncover live munitions, rotting away, so be wary of that.

I am guessing mostly earrings and cuff links as opposed rings and wrist bands and necklaces.

Of course rings can slip off as well, say whilst swimming in ocean, or taken off in heat of moment in other situations and then lost in the shuffle.

Wonder how many rings are picked up in hotels and unclaimed when lost. Only the cleaning crews know.
