Do you remember the times when politics were boring, and people complained that there is hardly any sense to vote - since both parties did the same things anyway? Little did we know that those were the best of times. Many years ago I visited briefly Venezuela and Argentina. Grasped very quickly that when people are passionate about politics, that means big trouble. “Patria o Muerte” means you may likely get “muerte” - and if you get Patria, you probably won’t like what you see.
