Tom, its interesting you are thinking that ATVI might be bought out - I was thinking the opposite. I know ATVI and MPRS are fighting right now, but if ATVI really wants Civilization, and they want the Mech Warrior series back, all they would have to do is buy MPRS. They would also get a bunch of other cool games like Falcon 4.0, M1 Tank Platoon 2, Magic: Duels of the Plainswalker, Guardians: Agents of Justice, Worms 2, and XCOM. With ATVI's distribution power and MPRS's games it would be quiet a strong combo. MPRS could probably be had at this point for 5 1/2 to 6 1/4 bucks (180 million). Of course they hate ATVI (I think) but a hostile takeover might even be possible with MPRS trading at only 2 19/32. I thought GTIS/MPRS would have been a great combo, and for the same reasons I think also ATVI/MPRS would be dynamite.

I no longer have a position in ATVI, I sold my Feb 10 options for a nice profit a while back. I do have a heck of alot of shares of MPRS at the moment though. MPRS has moved up from 1 15/16 to 2 19/32 in just two days. I think something is up - maybe ATVI is going to make a move, or it could just be a pre-earnings run-up? All of this is I.M.H.O. course, who knows what really going on. Time will tell.

---------------------------------------------------------

One side note - I wonder how big a success Quake 2 will really turn out to be? Personally I am bored with first person shooter games, and no amount of fancy 3d graphics will make me buy another one. I have been playing Total Annihilation recently which is a strategy game. Its really fun to play multiplayer - tons of strategy and creativity involved. Roaming around dungeons and shooting things gets boring quickly, even in a multiplayer game with friends.

JV.

Hi Guys!

Just wanted to let you know that I'76: Nitro is close to release...tomorrow we will be releasing a demo out, I think Gamecenter should have it...

It includes both an updated mission from the original game and a new one from Nitro. If you have a 3Dfx card, I guarantee you will be blown away! I'76 is now better than it ever was.
