I think PCR isn’t really bogus, but it’s badly misused. “Cases” are to a large degree meaningless. There were 5 -7 infected people or more that were never diagnosed - for each one that was. Symptoms are not a single concept, it’s a spectrum - from none, to deadly. At what point - if ever - infectiousness disappears - we don’t know. But it does look like those with fewer symptoms will cause less spread. That’s how viruses are, and that’s what they do. They don’t play by clearly defined rules. They’re just clusters of molecules looking to replicate.

The management of the epidemic was and remains an unbelievable mess.
