SO you don't count new iterations of a market leading microprocessor before the competition had caught up with the last generation? I can count on one hand the number of fortune 100 companies that actively try to obsolete themselves and Intel is not one of them. I say Intel WAS a leader in obsoleting themselves but some idiots put a marketing person rather than an engineer in charge of the company and they lost the ability to be the bleeding edge of process design to the competition. Fortunately, they have fixed this critical leadership mistake.
