>>Get a life.

Maybe you should get a life. Or at the very least, get accurate.

>>Au contrarie - About the same time last year Chambers was all over the media saying he was comfortable with analysts' forecast of 40 to 60% for the industry and higher than industry rate for cisco.http://www.exchange2000.com/~wsapi/investor/reply-3338960

You could not be more wrong if you tried. Estimates were not anywhere near 40-60%. They were at most about half that. And Cisco did easily outgrow the industry.

You seem to have established an estimable reputation for being wrong, at least concerning Cisco.

Re: "stock price will definitely correct to low 50's in the next 3-4 weeks."

"Definitely", my dear?

For what it's worth I bought cheap protective July puts in anticipation of this. For protection against the vagaries of the market while I sell higher strike CSCO puts. Hope this scenario comes about, CSCO is a great company for the future.

Mohan,

Why 'way overvalued'?

I get a PEG of about 0.8 for 1998.

Hi Mohan,
Not a Cisco bull, just a TA observer as you know.
I think with the NYSE bullish percent recently reversing up as well as the sector JUST reversing up into bull alert, chances of Cisco falling to your predicted "low" 50's is overly enthusiastic. I agree Cisco will correct. It is on a high pole warning but all of the indicators are very positive for this stock. Their relative strength for instance is quite strong.
Cisco has an area of support at 56 and 55 is where the bullish support line lies. My feeling is you may get a retrace to 60 on some backfilling but then after, another move up. Mitigating circumstances such as Iraq and Clinton may change the market, but as it stands now, Cisco is strong.

All the best,

Jan
