Yep, the problem betting on a big time downside move, is will the counter party even be in a position to pay up?

Although in this case, the bets needed just some clarity of thought to show the weaknesses in the downside scenario.

A lot of fiat will be gone in a flash if we get a big move to the downside, with resultant shortage of cash. That is my simplistic view and understanding of big moves outside of the box of normality.

However, I also thought prices, especially real estate prices, would get hit bad when the corona virus debacle hit. Especially when everyone started to work from home making a lot of commercial l real estate redundant. I was thinking this space could be converted to domestic flooding the market with new living spaces. Plus the loss of tenants from the onslaught of the Corona Virus. Still wondering how I got that one wrong ? Fact is though I didn't rush to make any bets on that so I can remain agnostic on many things -g-
