knowing what their Saunas are, that is truly impressive! I had the 'banya' experience a few times in Russia but the 'truly traditional' just once.. in Dimitrovgrad. I'd say, it was a great experience! SImple but solid wood shed, wood stove, platforms on the 'high' (something like this could be done on the 'cheap') I'm thinking if I am correct, the heat kicks up to what I was told was pushing +85c/ 190f by the time I was ready for it. after a bit, came the whacking the posterior with I think were willow branches. then the pucker... the cool water rinse. I'm here to attest my survival.
