Ron,
The whole sector is up, probably responding to that. Didn't check where it was trading but 14.5 is the first double top buy off the bottom.

News on PTEN - thanks to the OILPERSON, who does all of us a great service. Thanks OILPERSON, the more industry insider perspective, the better.

"Spoke with Patterson this a.m. Their Houston rep told
me their 16 rigs drilling in the Austin
Chalk were ALL busy, at a quoted dayrate of $8000/day. He
told me this was the price they
were quoting in December, so no price falloff. He also
seemed to want to remind me that he
hoped that during the spring lull, that the industry would
rememeber Patterson did not "gouge"
the industry, unlike Nabors, who I heard has been quoting
$9,500 to $10,000/day in December.
The only softness in the Houston area for Patterson was the
"deep" 16,000' to 18,000' Pinnacle
Reef projects in Limestone and Freestone Counties
(Sonat/UPRC/Marathon/Amoco), some of
which have been put on hold."
