I think it would be very good for SUN to buy Netscape. I would call
it more consolidation in the Java camp. IBM and Oracle are in big
time. Netscape doesn't have to duplicate efforts on Java. Also
Javagator would probably come out on time, which would go a long
way as the browser of choice for all kinds of devices running a JVM.

They could collaborate on the web server and other technologies for
which they are competing against each other. Finally Netscape is at
a very good bargain price and looking for direction. SUN usually
makes REALLY REALLY good deals when they buy companies unlike
Microsoft which just throws out money (to prevent competition).
