I think you're wrong about kimchi, I'm pretty sure it was my Ukrainian grandmother. I was in Seoul a few years ago and had my first experience with kimchi, and I thought this is just like home. Garlic too, real farm raised Ukrainian garlic will give you more of a buzz than the dope Rat grows in California.
