BC,
You think the opiod crisis is imaginary?

Opioids have done wonders to alleviate pain for those who have valid prescriptions.

Of course they're highly susceptible to abuse, but there are a TON of laws that are meant to prevent that. For the most part, Big Pharma bends over backwards to stay within compliance.

Yet mere compliance isn't enough, as Big Government just proved. You see it all the time. Just because a rich corporation is in compliance with the letter of the law doesn't shield them from billion dollar liabilities.

That's true when it comes to anti-trust law (Intel, Google, Apple), regulation of free speech (Facebook, Google), GMOs, and now the opioid crisis.

But good job siding with the lawyers when it comes to Big Pharma. As long as you can blame the deep pockets for addicts' own poor choices in life, the opioid crisis will never be solved.

And Big Government will always sue the deep pockets whenever THEIR policies fail.
