Rainforest Cafe says 1998 plans on track

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Theme restaurant company Rainforest Cafe Inc said Wednesday its development plans for 1998
were on schedule and it expected to open a new store at the Disney Animal Kingdom theme park this spring.

''1998 will be another year of growth for Rainforest Cafe as we look forward to more new unit openings including our very exciting
unit at the Disney Animal Kingdom theme park opening this spring,'' Lyle Berman, chairman and chief executive officer, said in a
statement.

''It is important to know that our development plans for 1998 are on schedule,'' he said.

Earlier Wednesday, Rainforest Cafe reported fourth quarter earnings of $0.15 a share, including a $0.01 a share charge, up from
$0.10 the prior year.

Total revenues for the quarter were $34.6 million, up from $20.2 million. The company opened five U.S. restaurants and one
international unit during the fourth quarter.

Shares of Rainforest Cafe were up 5/8 at 12-3/8.

IMO I don't think it's the same. gnt ceo took over 100m for himself and told analysts no problems. Here at rain they came out and stated the position. I bought more rain after announcement and feel this company has a good future and a potential to be bought out. John
