CD: FWIW, I talked to Ron Drapik (sp?)of CUNO's financial department this afternoon. They plan to report Thursday, the 26th before the market opens. I asked him how things look and was told they expect to meet expectations. Asked about Asia...he said of course things are down there but are being offset by a stronger Europe. Asked about Boston Market...he said they were jointly pushing a product called Scale Guard (a scale deterrent used in steamer ovens) which was to be introduced I believe by a subsidiary of BOST. Ron said that "program lost inertia" due to Boston Markets' own problems, but CUNO was "making it up in other areas". My take on it is that I will not be shorting CUNO.
