yes very true marcher, but when cats are feed well they do not go to the extreme of killing birds for fun like humans do.

We had bird nests in one of our window, once a bird lost her direction and fell into the kitchen the cat instantly catch her and without biting brought the poor bird to my mother as "a present" in her cat mind.

I removed the bird and set it free, was not injured but scared and flew away.
