What's the group consensus on NN being a possible acquisition target at these levels? Seems like a bunch of big players might be licking their chops about now.

Samson, The article discussed the views of managers and their opinion of Newbridge. Here is a quick summary:

Virginia Wai-Ping, TAL Investment Counsel who manages the $418 million CIBC Capital Appreciation Fund -- dumped virtually all of its 220,000 shares last Friday when it became clear that falling markets in Asia weren't the company's only problem.

Peter Marshall, Seamark Asset Management Ltd. who manages the $2 billion Clarington Canadian Equity Fund--says he is going to stick with it. He feels that the problem is mainly due to TDM.

Real Trepannier, TAL Investment Counsel who manages the $883 CIBC Canadian Equity Fund--says he had sold one-third of those holdings by this week. He still has confidence in their products.

Nancy Bendig, senior portfolio manager with Value Line Inc. manages the $90 million Hyperion Value Line Fund--has not sold her shares but has to because of the Value Line trading system. She says investors will not be willing "to put money there until they see some pickup in business on the ATM side."

Most fund managers refused to return calls.

Samson, please see my post #3101. No institution in its right mind would announce that they were going to sell their holdings in a stock before actually doing it, for obvious reasons.
