Funny you should post that, BC, because I have a friend who just confirmed the exact opposite. She posted about it on Facebook. Now I'll wait while you either call her a liar or change the subject yet again ... ******* PSA: VACCINATE IF ELIGIBLE!!! I honestly debated whether or not I should post this because it is so highly personal, but if sharing my story can save a life, it will absolutely have been worth it. I had a severe case of COVID in November 2020 (before the vaccine existed) and suffer from Long-Hauler symptoms to this day. I have heard so many anti-vaxxers claim that if you get COVID, you develop antibodies and don’t need to vaccinate. This simply is not true. I have been followed by some of the top internists and infectious disease specialists ever since I got sick, and have been fortunate enough to have significant, ongoing data and labs on everything from my blood chemistry to neurological functioning. Attached are 2 screen shots of COVID Antibody Tests: The first photo shows results taken 3.5 months after my active COVID infection. I was tested repeatedly but as you can see, my body quickly lost any natural antibodies to protect me or my loved ones from the virus. The second photo shows antibody results 4.5 months POST-vaccination. My body was able to develop a strong immune response to COVID only AFTER having been vaccinated. I understand that everyone’s medical situation is different and there is no “one size fits all” kind of deal, but I am so tired of hearing dangerous misinformation being spread by the anti-vaxx community about vaccine efficacy. Surviving COVID has shown me just how much every day on this earth is a gift. I am a living, breathing example of why vaccinations work. I hope that anyone reading this who is on the fence will be encouraged by my story and choose to vaccinate as well. Tenchusatsu
