Markets are lagging the news... but BTC off 4K so far this week... The "spin" applied... that the regulation is "necessary to expand adoption"... ? Yeah, but... The regulation they intend... guts the very purpose of having crypto as they've been presented to date... It's clearly intent on taking the improvements "they" like from beta test... to apply to CBDCs... while removing all of the features that have users caring at all... to impose the opposite of that... ? They intend to EXPAND the worst functions... stripping all privacy from transactions... I suspect you will see three parallels in choices made in response... First, early adopters quitting the game when it turns against them... or else being MacAffeed... Second, everyone else being forced (like with the masks and vaccines) into using the "new and improved" CBDC money... ie., a technological convergence occurring between "the number of the beast" (crypto becoming the unit of account in which accounting is done) and "the mark of the beast" (vaccine passports/social credit scores... excluding non-conformists from commerce)... "that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark"... Perhaps we should expect Merkel to insist the ECB's CBDC be called "the Mark" ? That's unlikely to go down well with large segments of the western population... or those Islamic. Third... an increasing number of people "opting out"... some few reverting to barter, perhaps... but many more simply adopting methods of passive resistance like those familiar in the former Soviet Union (they pretend to pay us, we pretend to work)... In China already happening as Tang ping... In the west is topical again, too, seen in expanding discussion of Ayn Rand's "been there, done that" novel "Atlas Shrugged" as a how to manual... as opposed to the clearly failed "tune in, turn on, drop out" movement of the 1960's... But, the fourth group... the MacAffees still hidden in the woodwork ? Hmmm. The "success" of the vaccination campaign perhaps not boding all that well for expectations re a successful Great Reset ?
