New to the board but I have not seen anyone talking about GLBL. Great company supplying the drillers equipment. They release earnings Thursday I think. The price of GLBL has been moving nicely the last few days. They should spank earnings and head back above $20. If anyone else is following GLBL I would love to share info with everyone.

Debra, VRC and FLC, interesting question. Here is my 2 cents.

Technically, VRC has shown better strength since 2 weeks ago than FLC. This may be news related. In addition, VRC has broken the downtrend resistence line (just pull up any chart and connect the two highest points) while FLC has not (one at 32 and the other at 36). The most impressive aspect of VRC is, it has ridden the upper BB for 5 days now. This is confirmation of a breakout. The interesting part however, is that it closed today outside the upper BB. This means it will underperform its peers tomorrow, everything else being equal. FLC still have some room to go before it hits its upper BB. As far the 1998 earning goes, I think FLC has lower PE. But you do understand they are in different business segments. If I were to pick on based on TA and momentum, I'd go with VRC. If I were to go with valuation and fundamentals, I'd go with FLC.

The overall sector strength today is impressive. I expect a follow through tomorrow. I wish you threw this question to me yesterday because I bought FLC today in a hurry without closely examining its chart. I would have bought VRC instead otherwise. Over the long term, both will be fine. Be sure to make up your mind how long you want to hold this and the scenario under which you would sell before you buy in. Good luck.

Here are some headlines, which may or may not affect the overall market and the drillers tomorrow.

- Did anyone see Bill Gates face today? It was covered with pie!!!
- The world is going to hear more evidence that Monica boinked Slick tomorrow.
- Yelsin fired some very loose cannon today after his usual daily shot of Vodka. Both sides pretend they did not hear anything.
- Warren Buffet now has 20% of world silver investment. We knew about it only after 6 months. I wonder what has he been buying lately?
- Soros articulated his not-my-fault argument today on NBR. If the country currency collapses, blame the rules and not him.
- Maria owns the drillers. Her eyes brighten up everytime the drillers are mentioned. Pisani reversed his flip today. He went long. Does everyone know Joe Kernen has a master degree in molecular biology from MIT? His two favorite words are epogen and neupogen.
- John Carpenter proclaims today post graduate education is no use. They don't teach anything. You sure you want to say that to Teddy? Shall we all regret now that we have earned the higher degrees? The only thing they can't teach you in school is vision. Work experience will not teach you that either. You have to teach yourself that by dreaming a lot.
