can it simply be allowed to burn through? Changes the nature of the focus from "the science" and ignorance of it... to game theory... It requires assuming that the element in "be allowed" makes any sense, first... as if it is in their control. But, I think that's not a wrong perspective to adopt in considering things... proofs of their lack of control (over outcomes) not altering their insistence on acting as if they are in control... They appear to be losing the game, however... whether they are playing against the virus... or playing against the population of the unvaxxed while trying to con them, bribe them, or force them into social conformity... to go along with what the clearly deranged and incompetent now judge is best for them... The problem is... the unvaxxed are doing a bang up job of avoiding being infected or injected... The best laid plans of mice and assholes... If you begin... considering it a game... while not expecting "they" are operating in good faith ? They lied about the vax giving immunity... hoping the vaxxed would succeed in infecting the unvaxxed... and deliver "herd immunity" that way ? They failed... predictably ( and I did predict it here)... resulting in the vaxxed primarily acting as petri dishes to develop variants at an accelerated pace... thus undoing any short term benefit that might have resulted from the vax... while exposing the vaxxed to an sudden acceleration of the longer term risks of the vax... The bottom line is... they are incompetent... (not an argument useful in advocating compliance) and they have made things vastly worse (for everyone) than they would have been if they had done nothing... Also... a table top flat learning curve requires "more of the same stupid shit" will be coming your way... What data flows suggest... is that about a week or two from now (in the U.S.) ... either we will see Delta's spread peak and begin to decline... or we will see a big ramp up in mortality... if it is true that the Delta is "enhanced" in its mortal dangers as they are saying (it appears, lying about) now... China is just leaning into Delta... having failed in keeping it out... but should see from others what to expect before too long... if you can accurately determine why there is such wide variation in reports re Delta ? Either it infects and sickens the vaxxed MORE than the unvaxxed... or dramatically less ? Delta likely to prove the "Atlas Shrugged" tipping point... at which people just quit caring what "they" say and decide to ignore them... in spite of any ramped up histrionics that are sure to follow ?
