I listened to the conference call. The company reported that the majority of loss was due to charge off of patents that no longer had value. They mentioned nothing of buying the Exponential patents. Why was management so hush lipped. Certainly, they knew that disclosure of this fact would have a favorable effect on the stock. The conference call was strange because managment was very tight lipped about the future, other than that their new graphics chip was on schedule for 2nd half of year.

Without insider knowledge, but from observing the Cirrus, Exponential patent buys, I feel that S3 is attempting to pull off something big here and they have been trying to be quiet about it in order so that they could execute the strategy effectively.

I think soon the picture will become clearer.
