Hi Christine; What one person calls Greed another call Ambition,
Here is a poem I wrote some years ago..
Now it's in no way intended personal, and I don't release
it to the public domain just because I post it on SI.
---------------
The FISH
A percept gave way to a concept one day,
one to the other had this to say.
Why try to escape there may be no escape
So listen to this before it's to late.
And I'll tell you of a great debate.
What we call up the Chinese call down,
T'was the great Aristotle who said
we could change all the names around,
but it's safe to say a thing is what it does.
Yes a thing is what it does.
---
So now what you do, it's that, that you are.
Perhaps one more step could be one to far,
You do what you want, and that's what you wish,
So now what you wish it's that, that you are,
perhaps you'll go one step to far.
Maybe you'll be a Psychedelic fish,
it's ok with me if that's what you wish,
but will you find out before it's to late,
that "stuff" that you used was nothing but bait,
-----------
It's to late to look if you swallowed the hook .
mark one more statistic in a cold hard book.
--------------------
End of Poem;
Moral:
Don't let your silent secret wish, make you
like a poor hooked fish, not all our prays are
said aloud, ( but someone is listening ) so
be careful what you pray for , as you just may get it.
