Another reason I decided to sell T now was tax loss selling. There are considerable realized gains to offset and I wanted to do that now. It wasn't much of a loss, I think it was around 12-13% but a lot of funds do their tax loss selling towards the end of August and the month of September. This is one of the reasons that September has been the worst performing month historically. Fund managers are on a fiscal year time frame not a calendar year time frame, so September is the latest they can go before putting their annual reports together.

I would think that some funds will want to sell some T for tax purposes as well and I didn't want to get out at a lower price.
