OFF Topic-Jeff I did as you said a cursory glance of peng. And this
is what I came up with.

3/97 .45
6/97 .33
9/97 .27
est .32 based on a eps est of $1.37

This .32 would compare with 12/96 of .37

Also noticed the 98 estimate of $1.40. Chart shows good support at $16, and also more support at $14. I did not look into asset valuations etc.

JP,

Toot, Toot, Toot :o)

Just wanted to toot the horn for you too, I saw that "little" jump today. It is very plausible that the scenario you described may be in the works, there has been a lot of inter-mingling lately, and it makes perfect sense for both companies. Is it too late for me to jump in at $20? HAHAHA

I assure you, someone, somewhere is feeling some very serious pain having traded options on SMTC. Has anyone seen a mangy, fuzzed up, howling Tom Cat around here lately? I think I'll hop over to the MLIN thread and make sure the good news on SMTC has gotten around to all interested parties.

Regards, JB
