Rhetoric Turns Grim... Reflecting Real Trouble in the Rhetoric Not Working ? I have yet to see data showing any new cause for serious alarm... or justifying changes in strategy. Delta seems to represent no new risk... save in what it represents as a risk to the failure of the narrative. I don't see anything failing... that wasn't predicted to fail, in the way it has, before it did ? That includes both the resurgence itself... and the failure of the vaccine to prevent it... but, fostering it instead. What is seen occurring... is what should be seen occurring... from "vaccinating" people with "a vaccine" that provides no advantages at all while failing in generating any immunity to the virus it pretends to target... Most interesting... is that when it was assumed "its over"... the conventional wisdom pivoted to "glad that's over" paired with "lock downs don't work, didn't help, and we should never ever do that again"... And, within a day or two of the proclamation of "Covid Risk On Again"... officialdom simply ignored all that... It appears less driven by real health risks... and more driven by officials desire to apply control... and meshes remarkably well in timing with the officialdoms concern that "we need to throttle the economy back to stop it from over-heating" or... "we need to slow things down until "transitory" has a (snowballs) chance to become true" ?... or... saying whatever else they think might work to prevent recognition of reality for a little while longer... From that perspective "it's not working" is all and only a good thing... ? I'd say... a rational cynic might see it as "an rhetorical alternative to raising interest rates"... and just never you mind about why doing that might be seen as necessary anyway... Others may begin to notice "bleed through" of the signal coming from other channels soon... The second annual Covid games have kicked off... and other plans will have to be put on hold for now... Too soon to determine who's ahead in the medal count... the awards to be dispensed as 3rd place: some of the people, some of the time... 2nd place: some of the people, all of the time... 1st place: all of the people, some of the time... but medalling only if properly timed... Meanwhile... most of the people seemingly have opted to avoid being fooled, again, by shifting focus and concern to other matters... while simply ignoring what they're saying entirely...
