Bill Gates full of whipped cream

BRUSSELS, Feb. 4 (UPI) - Microsoft chief Bill Gates isn't considering
a second career in slapstick comedy, but he still copped a pie in the
face.
The incident, which his handlers have not tried to sugercoat,
occurred in Brussels where the software genius met Belgian government
officials on his way home from this week's World Economic Forum in
Davos, Switzerland.
Gates was well received in Belgium, even ''treated like royalty,''
according to local officials, who also lined up talks with the European
Commission.
But moments before he entered a Flemish government building in
Flanders in northern Belgium, he was hit in the face by a cream pie.
''Mr. Gates acted like he had been struck by lightening,'' an
eyewitness said. ''He froze and his spectacles were filled with cream,
preventing him from seeing anything.''
Security guards immediately took the suddenly-crusty computer titan
by the arms and escorted him into the building. The flaky attacker,
armed with several more baked goods, whipped around and managed to nab
Gates with another creamy treat, but a third missed him.
Gates appeared offended, and possibly upset, but the pies were not
thrown with malicious intent. The tart tosser is a well-known Belgian,
Noel Godin, renowned for lobbing confectionary delights at celebrities
during the Cannes Film Festival in France.
